February 29th

During this week, many persons has been posting on our site of contact with the readers, and many of them have congratulate us because of the information we are giving you about the hole process of the Professor X, but even that the interview to the media expert Alejandra Sanabria told us some important data to know about forensic science, there are still some questions to be solved, and the most important one was related to "the Newton's Law of cooling", so we asked the Media expert Alejandra Sanabria to come again and help us to solve the doubts about this term.

First of all, what is the Newton’s Law of Cooling?

The rule says that "when the surface temperature of an object changes at a rate proportional to its temperature", for example you put on a microwave and cup of water and you take it out and its temperature is 72ªcelcius, and your house has a temperature of 23ª, but you forget that you wanted a coffee, and the cup of water is abandon on the table of your house, as you know the temperature of the cup is going to be less when you return from your work or school, 5 hours later, but its temperature is never going to be less that the 23ª at which your house is।

What variables about the case of the professor X are related to the variables needed to get the time of dead of the Professor, following the Newton’s Law of Cooling?

The Newton’s Law of Cooling involves many variables of which the ones we also know are the environmental temperature, the constant "k" (that is a constant that depends on the situations), and 2 more variables that are the temperature 1 and the temperature 2 of the body, which are measure after finding the body at two different times।

According to this Law, at what time approximately the death happened?

For now because of the investigation is open I cannot revel you so much information about this but as soon as we get the guilty, I, personally, am going to tell यू

How does the room temperature affect the time of death?

By following the Newton’s Law of Cooling, we say that the temperature of a object cant go lower than the temperature of the room where it is ,because between the difference of the temperature of the body and the room is bigger, the cooling is going to happen in a different rate that if the temperatures, of the body and the room, are almost the same ones।

How does an illness, like fever, affect the time of death?

It affects by changing the values and conditions of the original temperature of the body, because when a person is healthy its temperature is approximately 98.6 but if the person was sick this temperature varies and then the time of death is different

How exact is the approximation of the Newton’s Law of Cooling for predicting the time of death?

It is very secure, but not one hundred percent exact, on terms of criminology it gives us a very reliable data about the hour when the person was killed but we are never going to be complete sure of something like this, a least, that we were on the crime scene at the time of the action and looking at the clock.

Changing the topic how is the investigation doing?

Well actually we have just finishing getting all the clues from the crime scene, so the data that will help us to solve the crime is not ready yet, but we are going to have a reunion soon I can not say anything more because of my compromise and the confidence we must keep, but if something else is revealed, we are going to inform you to you can keep the people updated.

Thanks again to Alejandra Sanabria for her help and we hope this interview had help you, I think the doubts about this term are done, but any other doubt you have, contact us and we are going to be in contact with the team in charge of the investigation and of course any other information we get is going to be posted on these page the soonest possible.

Like the question that Juan Perez asked us the last week; that was: “in which other subjects is the calculus applied, and how?”, we are going to talk to and expert on mathematics soon, to ask him/her this questions, that now are like our principal learning goals, because we already solved the ones about the Newton’s law of cooling.

For the last thing some of you should be asking yourself, why they call the professor X in that way?, actually his name is Xavier Xochicali Ximénez, so the students started calling him professor XXX, or just Professor X, that’s what one of his students, Peter, said about this.

Murder we wrote II

The news have arrived, today we were informed that the members of the team that is going to solve the case of the dead of the professor X is:

The Math Expert: Gabriel Robinson Perez http://pequegaby.blogspot.com/
The Media Experts: Alejandra Sanabria http://axela13.blogspot.com/

& Alan Rios http://www.elalan90.blogspot.com/
The Journalist: Silvia Galindo http://silvie4ever.blogspot.com/
Forensic scientist: Sahara de Leon http://zaradeleon.blogspot.com/

All of the members of the team have a long experience and preparation and that’s why we know that this mystery is going to be solved soon because we have the best on the subject.

The team is going to realize a forensic investigation, so we asked some questions to the Media Expert Alejandra Sanabria, who gave us an interview to analyze the basic concepts of the forensic science.

What is forensic science?
>Actually forensic science is a very complex concept it can be defined as “any aspect of science as it relates to law”, or sections of science that can be used or “called into question in a court of law” like Murray Forensic says.
I would say this is a science developed from the need to solve the crimes that they were not easy to solve, however, forensics is not just science; it has also mathematics involved on it. And in has help made a lot of difference on the world since it was invented signifying the progress of modern technology.

What kind of evidence can be collected in a murder case?
>There ate many types of evidence, actually every thing is evidence, that is why it is very important to take pictures, but some of the most commons types of evidence are:
Bodily fluids:
Blood
Urine for alcohol, drugs and poisoning medicines,
Materials:
Metals
Paints
Ceramics
Used bullet cartridges
Dyes
Stains
Biological evidence
Seeds
Plants
Soil
Wood

Why is important to determine the time of death?
>It is very important because a minute can make the difference between the guilty and an innocent person. Because some times the dead subject in question was with many persons the same day, so the body was found a week latter, how is the police going to know who of the many persons who where with the dead, was or were the guilty or if it was another person.

What methods are commonly used to find the time of death?
>There are two methods of identifying the time of dead
Firsts, measuring the change produced by a process which takes place at a known rate, which was either initiated or stopped by the event under investigation, i.e. death. Like the amount and distribution of rigor mortis, the change in body temperature, and the degree of putrefaction of the body.
And second, by comparing the occurrence of events which took place at known times, with the time of occurrence of the event under investigation. Like that a wrist watch stopped by a blow during an assault, the extent of digestion of the last known meal.

What factors are considered in Algor Mortis? And how does the environment affect the time of death?
>First of all the algor mortis refers to the body cooling after the dead and before 24 hours. The scientist many scientist believe that it is the most reliable way to identify the time of dead of a body. And to get this data they analyze the room temperature, humidity levels, air movement the normal temperature of the person, the actual temperature, the weight and fat levels in the body.
The core body temperature drops at an estimated rate of 0.8K each hour from the time of death, but is ever-changing dependant on the anterior factors.

What can you tell about the different methods of temperature reading of the body? Do they make a difference in the results?
>Like the methods are base in different factors, I can be determined that between less environmental factors affects the prediction the result is going to be more reliable. And even if the methods may vary in their results, this comparison between them helps the Scientifics to establish a more trustworthy time of dead. Here is where the mathematics enters.

We received during this week many comments about why does we as many experts mention that the mathematics are so important in this new, many of the comments were from students of high school who’s teachers of math’s have been telling them to be informed about the case of the dead of the Professor X, and more important to be informed about the process, what would you tell them about this topic and the mathematics?
>For some persons the mathematics are boring(for me not, of course), and I’m sure that many of us sees some type of program about, policeman, doctors or murders at the TV also I’m sure your teacher had told you that in some point of your life you are going to need the mathematics, I remember that may 6th semester math teacher made me invent a case, so even when this sounds bad, the teachers are taking advantage making you interested on this, and if you analyze it, isn’t it better to be in a real situation that just do the formulas and bla, bla, bla… this murder mixes a real situation with the mathematics and also shows us that even if our abilities are different(like our team) we can make a team work to solve the mysteries, or in this case to find the guilty.

We thank to Alejandra Sanabria for her interview and we are hopping to have another interview with her soon.

We will keep you informed.

Calificacion = XP

Murder We Wrote... The WebQuest

"Phrase of the Week "

The humans don’t learn

A new discovers has been made about the human (the dominat specie found in the planet number tree of the solar system 1233433355587 of the star named "sun", in the galaxy of via lacteal). Is is very well know that this specie is primitive and aggressive, but now it is proved that "they are not able to learn from the others humans experience."

Even if they have the advice from the experience of another person, they never learn until it happens to them. Is a very weird thing because is suppose that the intelligent species learn for the others but the reality is that they don’t trust in other persons, the humans prefers to do it its way (says Jonh Garcia the person in charge of the investigation)

Maybe they just love the danger or to the problematic situations, it is a mystery that has not be resolved yet, but our investigators are working on it. Another theory is that their memory is not as good as we thought and they are not able to remember the words of their own specie and they just get the memories by their own experiences.

This behavior has create a theory about their general behavior, which say that because of their incapacity of learning from the others, they repeat the same actions once and once more, and this can be proved by the wars they have made, destroying everything that is in front of them, and also by their own self-destructive behavior against their own planet, by contaminating they are destroying their own environmental. But even this behavior is mostly common there are some individuals who learn, but this minority is not enough to stop the destruction of the majority.

The fact is that the investigation has reveal another behavior of this specie which is still evolving

The analysis of this complex specie is still developing by the moment our information about them is too few to explain all their actions but the investigation is going on, we would be informing you.

Pascal, Blaise (1623-1662)
" We are usually convinced more easily by reasons we have found ourselves than by those which have occurred to others..."

Can it be???

The confusion has reached me
I don’t know what to do,
Or where to be...

Every ting is becoming a mess,
A mess that I can't fix...

Maybe I should give up...
Maybe I should quit...

My head hatches
My dreams are weird...

I’m doing things that I never before did
Acting different from who I was

Is like if it were not me
As if were mad

I don't know what is going on
I don’t know where I'm

I'm not thinking anymore,
I'm just acting as a dumb

For more and more that I try to understand
Nothing makes sense

I fell estrange
Am I becoming an ET?

Or maybe? … no, it cannot be…
Or it can be? ...

Suddenly I do things that I should not do
I say things that may damage other persons
I act as if I were the only one in this world
And the worst is that I hate my folks

Maybe I’m wrong

But I maybe the worst of all had happened me
I had become my worst nightmare

I don’t understand how this happened
And I don’t know if this is good or bad

I'm starting to like what I use to critic
I don’t know if I'm supposing right or not
But I think it is the answer

I'm becoming the worst thing the world had have
I’m becoming an Adolescent...

Maybe you believe you become one because your age
But the true is that it is a mental process

I witch it is not true
But what else can it be?
O please!! hear me!!
I’m losing my optimist

It is not the extinction of the human been
But I’m felling so weird

Better to stop before starting to think about suicide
or worst, about diet
Because now I don’t know
If I will trust in myself again

I just hope to not do one thing

Please tell me that I’m not going to see RBD
